Earning money in any form is stressful. The ever changing global way, self-determination to be successful, the diligent mind, hard working body, superior charges to meet the targets, peer pressure to continually excel, global pressure to stay ahead of others, internal desire to live a quality life – there is perhaps one solution to all of these – money!
Gambling is probably one of the superfast machines that churn the money – in and out. The wager places the bet and put the money at stake wishing to make it millions and billions to secure a lifetime. However, in this never ending desire and obsession, the problem that sounds so much comes with stress. Stress is inevitable; it is part of our life. It can also be a “compulsive gambling”, where the person involved cannot quit the excessive habit even if he thinks so and even end up staking money that he should have saved for necessities.
Therapists and clinical psychologists have agreed that this can be treated with arresting the problem early, medicine, therapy, with the help of support groups and other contributing factors, all of which are directed towards immediate cessation. A relaxation strategy can also have a big role to play in relieving stress and strain:
Recognizing Stressors: To identify the factors causing stress.
Eliminating Stressors: To try and cut off the factors as far as possible.
Indulging in different forms of physical activities, yoga, breathing exercises or shifting mind through diversifying hobbies.
After all, one should remember that “health is wealth”.
